Safety Tips from Pairzone

Pairzone provides you with the venue where you can find the most compatible matches possible. Using our available guide and support you will be empowered to discover your best qualities and those of your possible pair throughout your search.

Below are some of the safety tips that can help you to make a sound judgment with people that you will meet online. Bear in mind that your instincts and your sound judgment plays a big role in protecting yourself as you navigate online.

  1. Always exercise Best Judgment
  2. Pairzone does not conduct background checks at the time an account is registered but Pairzone routinely monitors account activity and investigates all complaints of unusual, inappropriate or falsified accounts. It is your ultimate responsibility to asses the truthfulness and honesty of people you will meet online since there is always a probability of meeting people who will misrepresent themselves. Be guarded with inconsistencies and trust your instincts. You can always close communication if you don’t feel right or uncomfortable. You should be in control of the process and choose a comfortable pace with your contacts.

    Be watchful of people who:

    • Asks for money or any type of financial assistance, especially if you have never met in person.
    • Asks you to assist with personal transactions (depositing funds, shipping merchandise, etc).
    • Wants to speed up the pace beyond your comfort level.
    • Reports a sudden personal crisis and pressures you to provide assistance.
    • Asks inappropriate questions.
    • Tells stories with inconsistencies, some which may sound grandiose.
    • Gives vague answers to specific questions.
    • Urges you to compromise your principles.
    • Constantly blames others for troubles in his or her life.
    • Insists on getting overly close, overly fast.
  3. Share Personal Information to People You Know Well
  4. Personal information that could reveal your identity should only be shared to people you know well. Please take note that any personal information you share can no longer be taken back. We strongly suggest that you get to know your match well by using the available secured open communication system in our site before sharing your personal e-mail, instant messenger or phone number.

  5. Exercise Due Diligence, Do Your Own Research
  6. As mentioned in No. 1, Pairzone does not perform background checks on its members therefore It is important to use caution and common sense with every person you meet online. Pairzone relies that the information provided by its members are accurate but we encourage you to do your own due diligence and research before meeting in person.

  7. Maximize Your Resources and Take Your Time
  8. DO NOT RUSH! Online communication can accelerate one's sense of comfort and intimacy but it is important for you to take your time and maximize available secured open communication system in our site to get to know and find out as much about your prospective pair as reasonably possible.

Pairzone's matching process provides you with vital information re compatibility but you will still need real-life experience to get to know each other in a deep, revealing and meaningful way by sharing your experiences together. The more time you share together the better chances of avoiding hidden and sometimes unpleasant surprises.

  9. Always Remember the Golden Rule
  10. Always keep in mind the Golden Rule: “Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you” Be respectful and treat your chosen pair as you would want them to treat you. You will get to meet several compatible matches but in the process of choosing your best match you will have to start new or end a communication. If you feel that a certain communication needs to end then be honest and polite to inform the other party about it. Not every match is going to be right for you so closing communication with matches and having matches close communication with you is a natural and healthy part of our process.

If your prospective pair feels the need to close communication with you, please respect their wishes.

We strongly encourage all of our members to review emails received from Pairzone to ensure this communication is received promptly.

  13. First Meeting Cautions
  14. Reasonable caution must be exercised during your first meeting to avoid any unpleasant situation to happen.

    You must:

    • Choose the time and place of your date wisely. Meet in a public place at a decent hour during which lots of people will be around. Lunch dates work especially well.
    • Limit alcohol consumption or abstain entirely until you know the person better.
    • Use your own transportation, even when meeting someone who lives a great distance away from you. It's never a good idea to get into someone's personal vehicle on a first date. Wherever possible, drive yourself or take a taxi.
    • Tell at least one friend or family member about your plans, and arrange to check in with them after each of the first few dates.
    • Carry a fully charged mobile phone with easily accessible emergency numbers.

    Never:

    • Leave beverages or personal belongings such as purses, wallets, or jackets with pockets that may contain items that could reveal personal information about you, such as a driver's license, credit cards, ATM receipts, etc.
    • Meet at your house or place of work or give that information out until you have had a good opportunity to know the other person better.
    • Incur large expenses on a date without first discussing how the cost will be divided
    • Go home with someone, even if it feels like everything's going great. You have not spent enough time with them to assess whether your safety is at risk.

We hope these tips will help to make your Pairzone experience a success, and that you will find your best pair through PairZone.

Sincerely,
